I am an historian with a masters degree in medieval history, although, my first love has always been the Classical world. My field of study was the development of royal power in the early Capetian monarchy, most notably Philip I. I lived throughout Europe the last ten years, most of it in Ireland with long periods in France, Spain and Italy. I look forward to writing articles for suite101 about history, and other things I enjoy. I am interested in the views of others, especially historical debate. Feel free to contact me if you should have any questions, comments or disagreements with any of my articles. I can be reached at michel_amyot@yahoo.fr
